Easily Remove Dog and Cat Urine Stains!

Do you have a puppy who is still having trouble remembering to go potty outside?  Do you have an older dog who has the occasional accident? Or perhaps do you sometimes leave your dog home alone too long that he is forced to have an accident in the house?

I have two dogs, so that is double the chance that someone is going to have an accident!  I have tried nearly every brand of pet stain remover, but I have to tell you that I absolutely love Natures Miracle Stain and Odor Removal.  It can be used on carpets, furniture, clothing and cages.  Natures Miracle also has a remover made specifically for cats: Natures Miracle Just for Cats Stain and Odor.  Both of these stain removers have specifically formulated enzymes which work to remove the toughest dog or cat odors and stains.

It is important to always have a stain remover in your house.  Not only is it bad for your carpet if you do not promptly remove stains, but the longer the urine sits in the carpet, the harder it will be to remove.  If your dog can smell urine, he will be attracted to the site, and it will be likely he will soil the area continuously.  If your pet has used the carpet for his bathroom, you need to attend to the stain before it soaks through to the carpet padding, where it will be very hard to get the stain out.

Also, it is very important to use cleaning products made specifically for animals.  They contain the proper enzymes that will break down the odor so you and your pet will not be able to smell the urine.  Natures Miracle is a great brand because it does not contain ammonia.  Ammonia based cleaners can smell like urine to dogs, because ammonia is actually a by-product of decomposing urine.

If your dog seems to use the same area in your house to urinate, there may be old lingering stains.  You can use a black light that will show you if there are old stains in that area.  I have used the Urine Off LED Mini Urine Finder, and I have found it to be quite reliable.  It has a reach of 5 – 6 ft, so it is easy to search through large rooms for stains.  If you find there are permanent stains that can not be removed with household products, you may want to consider getting your carpet cleaned professionally.
